First of all you will need to provide at least 4 square feet of space per chicken so that they may live comfortably.

Secondly you need to keep a waterer and feeder always filled up so that your birds do not go hungry or thirsty while being in the tractor.

Lastly once your tractor is done make sure that you keep shifting it to other parts of your backyard so that your chickens do not scratch away the top layer of the soil. A tractor is designed without a floor so that the chickens can reach the ground. This is done so that the chickens can dig for weed and pests which they feed on. This feature of the chicken tractor can alone save you hours of work.

A tractor can offer more advantages such as protection from predators and also to a degree the weather and being so small and light it will not be hard to manage either.
